Ramayana.....Revised

These are the characters from the story "Ramayana"( story idea from the short "Sita and the Blues"). This is a cartoon version im leaning towards. The leader,Rama , The Damsel in distress, Sita , and the animal side-kick, Hanuman. There is still more to come like expressions, new additional characters and backgrounds..... sooo STAY TUNED!!!!

  4. buddy, you got really nice work in here. most of them reminds me of the Disney style. mey be it's for the 2D animation based lines or something.. I'm not really a big fan of following that style..still, love the effort put into character development. In some of the works, some style of your own pops through the Disney lines..i can tell you,u'r gonna come up with something unique some day :D rock on dude. good luck.

  10. Neat stuff! I like the characters a lot! You may want to change their expressions on the face a little as right now they are all pretty similar to eachother, may help to contrast them a bit :)

  16. Hey Edward, thanks for stopping by!

Your stuff is very very good! I particularly like the flow of the pencil which is so evident in your characters. I would suggest you to read a bit on ancient Indian costume designs to give more dimension to the characters.

    Keep up the good work!

You definately have some really solid designs here, I like your overall shapes and proportions. I'm not one to give characters design advice...prolly the weakest of my skills. But I really like what I see, and when I scroll through your old stuff, there's definately huge improvements. You characters have a nice animatable feel to them!

  30. Hi Edward! I have been looking in your blog for a while, and can notice that you have great ease to do your drawings, big skill for the forms and proportions, and to express all this with an air of fun!! the characters on this post are very cool! I like especially the girl, since you denote in her features the proper characteristics of the people of these regions.

Very well done, keep it up!

  31. Hey there Edward. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the kind words. About your stuff here, i think you have a super solid understanding of how to make appealing characters. I can see it in the way you play with the proportions, combining lots of different and interesting shapes. I don't know if i can give you any advice since i'm still figuring this all out, and generally i think you already do better work than i do. Keep doing what your doing because you seem to be improving exponentially. :D Again solid work and good luck, if i was able to get into animation i'm sure you won't have a problem. :D Keep in touch!! :)

  34. The last 3 posts are very good improvements! If you keep going progressing at that speed, I'll be the one asking for tips from you. I guess if I have one tip for you is find what you love to do and work at it like a madman. If you have that, everything else is easy. Good luck getting into the industry!
